OFVS performing ARts SCHOLARSHIP

The OFVS Performing Arts Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to ensure that students from the performing arts achieve their goals while pursuing their degrees. The performing arts may include theatre, dance, orchestra, opera, choral ensembles, drama productions, musical productions, marching bands, other musical ensembles as well as stage crew and behind the scenes personnel such as costume makers, set designers, producers, directors, and choreographers. The scholarship is open to graduating seniors that have a background in the performing arts, but do not have to be pursuing a performing arts degree.

The following summarizes the requirements for the application:

 

o    A completed application form (can be completed below).

o    A personal statement essay from the student that addresses one of the following questions (can be completed below):

                       How do the performing arts affect education and community?

                       How have you benefited from the performing arts?

                       How will the performing arts be part of your future?

o   One letter of recommendation. The recommendation should come from an instructor or professional colleague the applicant has worked or had a close relationship with.

Prior to the deadline, please have your letter of recommendation submitted directly to: ourfabulousvarietyshow@gmail.com

o    One page resume listing extracurricular activities, honors, employment experience, community service, special skills, and activities/training in the performing arts.

The scholarship application deadline is November 1, 2018. Application materials can be emailed as one pdf to:

The scholarship recipient will be announced at the matinee performance at 2pm on December 2, 2018 at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall in east hampton.
